Back to Centro Alcance (learned I had been spelling it wrong all week- along with Colegio Kairos) this morning for some more pictures. The students gave me a preview of their Mother's Day program which they'll perform tomorrow and then gave me a giant card of thanks before I got countless hugs. It was a really fun morning, one of the students Julio stuck by my side for awhile and when we were both at the market later, he ran up to me and introduced his sister to me.
They all look so excited to be posing for this picture, right? I swear they were smiling as they gave me hugs.
After lunch at Kim's, I returned to the Lopez family home where I am taking the challenge to talk in Spanish as much as possible now (though it's really easy just to revert back to English because my host family (aside from Mefi) all speak English. A few more visits and shoots are planned for the next few days and I have a lot of editing in my future as well but I'm really excited about all of these projects.
